Without Excuse

Sometimes we fail to see that God is righteous in His judgements and that we inherently know His attributes so that we are without excuse in going our own way.

Romans 1:16-20 (NASB)
[16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. [17] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed *from faith to faith; as it is written, “*BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.”
[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth *in unrighteousness, [19] because that which is known about God is evident *within them; for God made it evident to them. [20] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

I firmly believe that God is revealing His wrath in this day and age. And yet we so conveniently dismiss Him in our lives that we are not aware of what is transpiring around us. There will come a day in our lives when we must stand before Him and give an account of what we have done.

Hebrews 9:27-28 (NASB)
[27] And inasmuch as it is *appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, [28] so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

Have we become fools?

Romans 1:20-22 (NASB)
[20] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. [21] For even though they knew God, they did not *honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing to be wise, they became fools
