So I am Trying to Figure Out How to Liability in GnuCash

So I am now trying to figure out how to do Liabilities in GnuCash.  I have a handle on how to get the information from my Credit Cards and Loans into GnuCash, but I have yet to figure out where the other account goes.  I can put in the liabilities into GnuCash in the Liability accounts that I have set up, but where to put the other items - and alternatively how to reconcile charges in my various checking/savings accounts to individual changes in each of the liabilities.  So I have been looking at the instructions at https://codesmythe.gitbooks.io/gnucash-guide/content/en/ch_cc.html.  This seems to give me some idea of how to tackle this issue.  Time will tell.
